Lerynne West’s new job didn’t last long. After starting a new position at a healthcare insurance company in September, West, 51, resigned just one month later — because she won the Powerball. In November 2018, Lerynne West claimed a winning $349.9 million jackpot from the Iowa Lottery. The lump sum came out to $198.1 million, and the Redfield resident pledged to give back through a new organization called The Callum Foundation.

Ellen sat down with Lerynne West, a single mom of three who won the Powerball jackpot of $343,900,000. Since winning, she started The Callum Foundation in ho. West, 51, bought her jackpot-winning ticket at Casey's, 425 Second St. In Redfield, a Dallas County community of about 830, where she recently bought a house. She was moving into her new home in late October and she and her sister stopped at Casey's for pizza and coffee. While they were there, West bought an easy-pick Powerball ticket.
